Christy Helmer and her husband Chad both graduated from OU in 2005 and are now on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ here at Ohio University. Christy leads a Bible study for the women of James, Wilson, and the Convo. When Christy attended OU, she lived in Jefferson and Perkins. Her goal for the study is to provide a relaxed environment where students can explore the Bible, learn more about Christianity, and make lasting friendships. When Christy isn’t getting to know students, she enjoys decorating cakes.
Leader: Ashley Tyson
Dorms: Truedley, Sargent, Bromley
Ashley Tyson is a Senior at OU leading a study on West Green, where she lived her freshman (Boyd) and sophomore (Sargent) years. She co-leads a cross-training Bible study for Truedley, Sargent, and Bromley. Ashley hopes that her Bible study will be a place that women feel comfortable, open up to others, and develop new relationships while studying the Bible and applying it to their lives. When considering her experience at OU so far, she can’t help but think about Campus Crusade for Christ. Her favorite thing about OUCCC is the potential to develop relationships, both relationships with other members and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Regardless of what green you live on, she looks forward to meeting you! In case you don’t meet right away…a random fact about her is that she loves McDonald’s vanilla ice cream cones!
