In their 13 and 14 years on staff, Raymond and Laura have followed the Lord all over the globe sharing the love of Christ and mentoring others in the process. They have been married for 10 years and have 2 wonderful little girls, Magdalen Grace (Maggie), and Elaina Ann (Ellie).
They met at staff training 12 years ago, almost immediately began dating, and married a year later. They joined the staff team at OU in January of 2000 and have been an integral part of the ministry ever since. Their home is a hub for their ministry—hosting everything from Bible studies and staff meetings to random hang out times.
As a student at Indiana University, Laura was involved with Campus Crusade where she developed a heart for college ministry. While a student, she spent a summer in Albania on a CCC summer project taking the gospel of Jesus to eager Albanians. After graduation she returned to Albania for 2 years on “STINT” (Short Term International) and was also able to minister in other countries in the area.
Laura is truly the foundation of their family and their ministry, showing love and grace to staff and student alike. She always makes you feel at home with her hospitality and listening ear. In her years at OU, she has mentored many young ladies who now minister to their own families and peers.
Raymond, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, first began ministering to college students as a student at UT. His eight years as an undergrad deepened his heart to see college students know the abundant life that comes from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. After graduating Raymond spent a year with Campus Crusade on STINT in Minsk, Belarus. After STINT, he returned home to go through staff training where he met Laura.
Today, Raymond is the Partnership Coordinator for our ministry, responsible for coordinating our ministries collaboration with a campus in Nantes, France. He is also our Operations Coordinator, organizing much of the administrative and operational needs for our ministry. Raymond also devotes much of his time doing what he loves most—mentoring young men in their relationship with Christ and introducing others to the one true God and Jesus Christ.
