“One of the most important discoveries I have ever made is this truth: God is most glorified in me when I am most satisfied in him.”
                                                                          ~John Piper

Campus Crusade for Christ has developed a rich history at Ohio University since 1973. By 1986, the movement tripled, and our ministry with Hocking College began. As an example of this growth, our first spring retreat was held in 1988. In 1989 our weekly meetings were called “Primetime,” and our ministry expanded to include Marietta and Muskingham Colleges.

In the 90’s, Brian McCollister became our campus director. Over the course of that decade, our weekly meeting grew exponentially and was renamed 180 (because of the need to shift focus 180 degrees from self to God). Our ministry once again expanded to include a chapter of Athletes in Action, led by Mark Heflin.

As the movement has grown, so have the discipleship chains that are an integral part of the Campus Crusade for Christ movement. Hundreds of students have been discipled and in turn have discipled others, leading to a long chain of students becoming life-long laborers for Christ. Discipleship trees have reached into all areas of campus, including athletic teams, Greek houses, and student organizations. Along with discipleships, Bible studies have given the movement depth and offered students Biblical teaching and fellowship.
